Description
The Nurse Corps was formally established by Congress in 1908. Twenty women were admitted into the Naval Medical School in Washington DC. These individuals were called the "The Sacred Twenty." From this humble beginning the Nurse has grown to a preeminent and highly respected service corps, involved in all aspects of medical services around the world.
